The youngest member among the 3 beers from St. Remy of Rochefort. It has a higher alcohol content than Rochefort 6 at 9.2% ABV. Aromas of fig and raisins and flavors of chocolate, followed through with a medium dry sweetness on the finish. Trappist Rochefort 8 was commonly referred as the "speciale" among the varieties due to its characteristics.
