Lager
Lager is the most common type of beer in the world and characterised by its light crisp taste. The bottom-fermented techniques (where yeasts used to ferment the beer flocculate at the bottom of the fermentation tank. Ales are just the opposite and use yeasts that are top-fermenting) result in a crisp, refreshing beer. It's also a diverse category with sub-styles such as Pilsner, Bock, Dunkel, Pale Lager.
