Franziskaner (Germany)

Franziskaner, in German, means Franciscan; hence the image of the smiling Franciscan monk on the bottle

The roots of the Franciscan brewery can be traced back to 1363. This year, the "Bräustatt bei den Franziskansans" near the residence in Munich is mentioned for the first time. The name is due to the Franciscan monastery, which was diagonally opposite and with which probably always lively exchange took place.
