Mead is fermented with three basic ingredients: honey, yeast and water and is often flavored with various fruits, herbs and spices. Archaeological evidence suggests that mead probably out-ages both wine and beer. Hence it is probably the oldest alcoholic beverage known to Man! Infusing different herbs into a sweet mead were thought to improve digestion, help with depression and alleviate good old-fashioned hypochondria. So... have a mead today!
